ELECTRICAL PRODUCT SAFETY RECALL

DYNADRIVE DD60-10 and DD90-11 Pumps

Davey Water Products are voluntarily recalling DYNADRIVE DD60-10 and DYNADRIVE DD90-11 pumps sold nationally by  Australian Authorised Davey Dealers from 01/03/2019 to 02/12/2022. Davey Water Products received  notification of an electric shock event relating to one of our DynaDrive pumps where a pump was not  correctly earthed.   

This event only relates to DynaDrive DD60-10 and DD90-11 model Pumps. 

 

IDENTIFICATION  
The rating label shows the model number DD90-11 or DD60-10. Units affected have serial numbers between  19079 1000  and 22336 5720.

DEFECT  

Dyna Drive DD60-10 and DD90-11 model Pumps may not be adequately earthed.   

HAZARD
Risk of electric shock, which can cause injury.   

ACTION REQUIRED
Stop using the affected DynaDrive DD60-10 and DD90-11 model pumps immediately by following these  steps:  

  • Switch off power at the switchboard using the main breaker switch. If you are unsure how to do this,  contact Davey Water Products on 1300 232 839.  
  • Inspect the rating label to verify whether the pump is affected by the recall.  
  • If the pump is not affected by the recall, switch power back on at the switchboard using the main  breaker switch. Continue to use your pump as normal.  
  • If the pump is affected by the recall, then you should unplug the pump, take a photo of the pump  
  • rating label, and register your product using the below link or contact Davey Water Products.  
  • With the pump unplugged, immediately switch power back on at the switchboard using the main  breaker switch.  
  • Davey will organise a free infield service inspection/repair by a certified technician.  
  • The technician will verify the earth terminal connection and repair if necessary.
