6 August 2020 Update

DAVEY WATER PRODUCTS (DAVEY): OPERATIONAL SUPPORT TO ESSENTIAL SERVICES AND TRADE ESSENTIAL DURING STAGE 4 VICTORIA LOCKDOWN

We recognise that these are difficult, fast changing and troubling times. We had all hoped that the early positive gains we saw in our fight against this virus would last, but sadly this has not been the case. Our thoughts go out to the many people affected by COVID-19 and we remain resolute in doing all we can to support the actions to stop the spread of COVID-19.

Davey’s  products are  important  to several critical and essential  industries including, agriculture and farming. Davey has reviewed the document issued by the Victorian State Government ‘Guide for Business - Stage 4 Restrictions issued in relation to Stage 4 ‘Stay at Home’ Restrictions’. We are of the opinion that our business complies with the ‘All Sectors – Open (For On-Site Work) – COVID Safe Plan’ category and “Services to support ongoing provision of electricity, gas, water, sewage and waste and recycling services  and  their  maintenance”,  “Services to support Agriculture”, and “Services to support Manufacturing for the residential building industry”.

We will, therefore, remain operational in support of these essential services.  

During the next six weeks, to comply with the Government’s COVID SAFE requirements we will be implementing a COVID working roster to comply with required reduction in onsite presence, in addition to executing our COVID Safe plan. As a result of the reduced onsite workforce during this period we request your patience and understanding.

27 July 2020 Update

During these unprecedented times, Davey is committed to continuing to provide you with the products and services your business needs. Our priority is to protect our staff and customers – which is why most of our team continues to work from home.

Our manufacturing facilities and warehouses across the country are still very much business as usual – however we have implemented strict social distancing, and cleaning and sanitising protocols. We have introduced double shifts for factory and warehouse staff at our production facility on Scoresby Victoria, to ensure that supply to you is uninterrupted.

Our sales and customer support teams, are encouraging our Dealer network to place orders early in the day, to enable same day despatch, where possible.

18 March 2020 Update

As the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) situation escalates around the country, Davey would like to take some additional precautions to protect our staff and you, to limit the potential spread of the Coronavirus. The precautions and actions we are taking, are in line with the advice provided by state and national government, and World Health Organisation (WHO).

Effective immediately and until further notice, Davey are imposing the following safety guidelines to eliminate any risks to our staff and to you:

SALES

All Davey Territory Managers will not conduct regular face to face dealer visits - all communications are to be via phone and email.

SERVICE CALLS & CUSTOMER PICK UPS

All Davey infield service visits will have a mandatory questionnaire, and if deemed necessary, infield service visits may need to be rescheduled.

  • Are there people at the site who have tested positive to Coronavirus?
  • Are there any people on the site who are waiting on test results for Coronavirus or are in mandatory 14-day isolation?
  • Has anyone at the site returned from overseas in the last two weeks?

Any Dealer wanting to pick up or drop off product directly from a Davey state branch, must contact their local branch for an update on the procedure or protocols required on the day of the planned visit.

As the situation is quite fluid, pick up and drop off procedures may change without notice and we apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.

SUPPLY CHAIN & DELIVERIES

Although our supply chain has not yet been severely disrupted by COVID-19 – we cannot predict what the next few weeks will bring and how delivery times may be impacted. As a precautionary measure, we encourage our customers to place orders for stock.

Above all, the health and safety of our team, customers and suppliers is paramount. We will continue to monitor the situation as it evolves and maintain regular updates.
