Neville and Jennifer Carter’s property was destroyed in the Liberation Trail fire at Nana Glen, north west of Coffs Harbour in November 2019.

The fire front swept through their property at incredible speed. They didn’t have time to collect any of their belongings, so they lost everything in the blaze – including their water tanks and pumping equipment.

Right now, Jennifer and Neville are living in a caravan on a friend’s property, waiting for the insurance payment so they can start the long process of rebuilding. They’re still adjusting to loss of their home. “The hardest part about your property burning down, is that you go to get something that you knew you had, and it’s just not there anymore,” Jennifer says.

Davey has donated a HS50-06T water pressure system with the help of North Coast Power and Water, Coffs Harbour and will be connected to a new water tank. It will be the very first useable appliance on the property and will help with the rebuild of the Carters’ home. “The pump will make an incredible difference when we start to rebuild, with direct access to water essential for our property.”
