Davey Water Products has announced a change in leadership following Chief Executive David Worley’s decision to retire from the business, and return to New Zealand in the coming months.
Davey’s parent, GUD Managing Director, Mr Graeme Whickman commented that “we are thankful to David for his contribution to the business over the past six years. David’s dedication and commitment to Davey is beyond reproach and we wish David and his family well as he moves into the next chapter”.
Ms Valentina Tripp has been appointed as Mr Worley’s successor. Ms Tripp was most recently Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Murray River Organics, an ASX listed company. Her prior roles have included leadership of Top Cut, a division of Simplot and Senior Director with KPMG where she was responsible for leading transformation, strategy, customer growth, supply chain, operational and financial turnarounds.
Ms Tripp said “I am very excited to be joining the Davey team. Davey products have a vital part to play in sustaining the provision of water and water treatment. This is a great time to be joining the business as we look to further enhance both our product and service offering and I look forward to getting to know our customers in the coming weeks”.
Mr Whickman further commented that “Clearly we have been planning this for a while, and it is David’s wish for a timely transition. We are pleased to have appointed a professional executive of Valentina’s calibre as David’s successor. Valentina brings an excellent balance of strategic transformation and execution skill and experience to the Davey leadership role”.
